You are invited to help share in this memorable tradition with the children of Boys Town New England., to sing carols around the Christmas tree and establish fond memories with friends and families. Following the tree lighting, warm up with hot chocolate and desserts, meet Boys Town children and families, and learn about Boys Town New England's Continuum of Care as they tour the campus’ new Administrative Support and Family Services building.

The Matthew McIntyre Memorial Fund will kick off its first annual event, a benefit to Boys Town New England, at the West Valley Inn in West Warwick, RI, on Feb. 27, 2009.

Matthew came to Paul and Denise McIntyre's family from Boys Town New England as a young foster child in 2001 and officially and happily joined their family through adoption in 2003. This charming and unforgettable boy touched the lives of everyone he met, and passed away unexpectedly and tragically June 20, 2008, when he was 9 years old.

The McIntyres have generously started a Memorial Fund in Matthew's memory and feel it is fitting that the first event benefit the children of Boys Town New England. The funds raised will provide the opportunity for children to experience recreational, educational and other activities which fall outside the Boys Town budget.
